…one of the only ways to spend thousands of dollars in a few hours (excluding those lucky enough to snag award flights with credit card points).A $3k new gaming computer or $1k phone: you use it every day until you get a new one.Expensive LV bag or Tiffany’s jewelry: keep it for years, wear it often.A $30k car: drive it daily over many years.A $2m house: live in it for decades, and sell it for double the price.Premium cabin flights can cost over $10k for long distance, then poof, your money’s gone and nothing to show for it.

First class is generally for companies/others inviting VIPs. For the people who have private jets (C-suites, celebrities, government officials), first class is a budget option for them. It is not typically meant for SWEs making 300-500k.Business class is, well as the name suggests, for companies to have people go to other places. For my case, company pays for business class if I have to go outside of America. They expect me to sleep in the plane and present when I reach the building. If I fly on economy, there is no way I will be able to present on the next day. Yes they are paying a lot but it is not as glamorous as it seems.

Chartering a yacht can cost $100K-1M or more per week.If you can be fresh and hit the ground running when you land, you are saving valuable time. How much do you value that.Besides, $10K is not much nowadays for travel. Decent hotels cost $400/night and nice ones are well over $1000.If you want to save money just start home and use Google Earth + Zoom.

Of course it does. You wait months to go on a short vacation and every day counts. How much are you willing to pay for an extra good day away? You can always make more money but time is gone forever. It is sad people undervalue their time so much.
